Ranch Dressing
There, we said it. Are you salivating?
Many people have loved ranch dressing since they were a kid. Others have joined the ranch dressing crave later in life. For most people, the only way you enjoyed ranch dressing was store-bought and in a bottle. When you’re young, you most likely didn’t read the product labels that much. As you get older, though, once you take a look, you may be surprised that you can’t read half of the ingredients.
In even some of the most “healthy” store-bought brands, you’ll find soybean oil, canola oil, xanthan gum, and MSG. In homemade ranch dressing? Nope. You won’t have to use any of that stuff.
Homemade Ranch Dressing
Ingredients
1/3 cup mayonnaise ( here’s a great recipe for homemade)
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk (or 3 tbsp milk + 1 tbsp white vinegar – mix together and let sit for 5 minutes)
2 tsp minced fresh parsley
2 tsp minced fresh chives
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl with a wire whisk or blend in a blender briefly.
2. Store in the fridge 7-10 days (potentially longer if your dairy products were especially fresh when used).
Yup! It really is THAT easy. Enjoy!
